In the last couple of days my boy has started talking a lot more. His latest words are: “Linda” (my mom’s name), “Amy,” “Ho! Ho! Ho!” and “night-night.”
I am in awe at how quickly he is growing and developing. What an amazing boy!

We celebrated all day long on Cale’s birthday. Cale’s daddy took the day off of work, and we spent the day as a family.
Steve made pancakes for breakfast. Yummy!
First stop – Build-A-Bear Workshop at the mall to stuff Cale’s new Kermit the Frog. Claire assisted with this.
Cale learning to push the pedal on the stuffing machine.
Then we went to The Disney Store.
For lunch we had tacos at Taco Bueno! De-lish!!!
Then home for naps. After naps MiMi and PopPop came over to love on the birthday boy.
Next stop – home again, where Cale showed off and walked down the hall so that we could get it all on video.
Claire made Cale’s birthday dinner – homemade pizzas! They were delicious!
Cale’s pizza – We sang, and he blew out his candle.
We had such a fun day celebrating our baby boy! Cale is such a delight! Happy Birthday, Baby!!
Cale had his one-year checkup with his pediatrician Tuesday morning. He is perfect and healthy.
Cale is now 31” tall (87th percentile) and weighs in at 22 lb 8 oz (68th percentile). He is now wearing size 18 months clothes and size 5 shoes.
Cale is now walking.
He talks a lot too. In addition to saying “Mommy,” “Daddy,” “PopPop,” and “MiMi,” he now says “banana,” “ball,” “book,” “all done,” “baby,” “boo” (for playing peek-a-boo), “hi” and “bye.”
Cale can throw a ball. He loves to play his tiger piano, and he is actually very musical. He doesn’t just bang on it. He loves to dance and sing.
He is very affectionate and cuddly. He loves to snuggle. He loves to kiss and blow kisses. He loves being held and loves to play.
Cale loves toys. He will play with his toys by himself in his room for up to 30 minutes at time. He really likes cars and trucks and makes “engine” noises when he’s playing with them.
He loves the park. He likes to climb and slide and swing. He loves being outdoors.
He is very good-natured. He is calm and peaceful and playful. He likes everyone in his world and is very friendly. He has the most handsome smile. When he flashes those baby blues and those pearly whites, you can’t help but fall in love!
Cale is, at last, a great sleeper! He sleeps 11-13 hours at night and takes at least two naps a day lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours. Mommy is finally getting some rest!
Cale adores Claire and wants to do everything she does. They get along very well and enjoy playing together. Claire is a wonderful big sister. She loves to help.
Cale is such a doll! He has definitely stolen my heart. I am totally and completely amazed that he is mine. What a blessed mommy am I!
Last weekend Cale received an additional birthday present in the mail from Uncle Matt, Aunt Randi, Kenley and Maren.
He got the cutest, cuddliest outfit. It includes a fleece jacket, fleece pants and a striped onesie. He will look so cute in this!
He also got a puzzle which he LOVES!
Thank you so much, Uncle Matt, Aunt Randi, Kenley and Maren! Cale loves his gifts! Looking forward to seeing all four of you at Christmas! We love you!!
