Eleven Months Already!

I cannot believe how fast time is flying!  What a wild ride we have been on for the past 11 months!  (Picture below is from the Jenks Homecoming Parade.)IMG_3948.2

In the last month, Cale has learned to stand up on his own.  He is extremely cautious and will take up to three steps at a time, but then he will just sit down.  Eventually we will find something that intrigues him enough that he will forget to sit.  But he has started walking – three steps at a time.  He has changed his crawl from the hands-and-knees crawl to the hands-and-feet crawl with his hiney in the air.  And he is very, very fast.  He’s also very tall with an incredibly long reach.  There are very few things in my house that he cannot reach, so we are constantly having to watch him and instruct him with, “Don’t touch!”

Cale is a very good-natured and easy-going guy.  He loves to laugh and, like his sister, loves to make people laugh.

He still loves blowing raspberries.  He has recently discovered that he can do tricks with his tongue.  He can flip it over and curl it.  He can do several other things that I can’t really describe.  I’ll have to try to catch some of this on video.  (These days, if I pull out the camera, he’s more interested in the camera itself than in having his picture taken.  But I’ll keep trying.)

Cale’s newest word is “nana.”  I have no idea to what or to whom he is referring, but he loves the word.

Cale’s favorite food is pizza.  He would eat it for every meal and ask for more if we would allow it.

My boy is simply adorable!  He brings so much joy to our lives!  He is so much fun!

Cale’s birthday month starts tomorrow.  (I can hardly believe it, but I am so excited!  It’s going to be a great month!)  Check back here daily this month for pictures and updates of our goings on.

Ten-Months-Old Already!

My how time flies!  I can hardly believe that my baby has already crossed the 10-month mark!034.3

Cale is the sweetest baby!  He now gives kisses and will grab my face and plant a big, wet, sloppy kiss on my cheek or lips.  I love it!

Cale loves music and claps his hands.  He actually has a lot of rhythm.  What a joy to see him enjoy life!  (This video was taken this week at the nursing home where GiGi lives.  GiGi’s sister, Aunt Vi, played the piano, and we all gathered around to sing old hymns.  My kids loved it!)

Cale’s favorite new word, and one of his favorite people, is “PopPop.”  Sometimes he whispers it, and sometimes he growls it.  But one thing is for sure – he loves PopPop!

Cale waves and says “bye bye.”  He stands alone.  He has taken one step on his own – toward MiMi!  He LOVES to climb!  He loves to play with his toys, and he loves to jump.  He now has three teeth – two on bottom and one on top.

He loves boxes and blowing raspberries.040.2

He had the best time playing in this box at his daddy’s birthday party.038.2

He eats table foods now (no fish, no honey, no sweets and very little dairy).  He LOVES Cheerios!  He also loves pizza.  (He ate three whole slices last night.)  He loves hamburgers, tacos, burritos, chicken, yogurt, etc.  His first meal in a restaurant was at Chick-Fil-A.  He loves their chicken nuggets.  (Don’t we all?!  Delish!!)  He has also eaten at Taco Bueno, My Place BBQ (He totally loved the BBQ.  Seems like a strange thing for a baby to eat, especially since My Place is a little spicy, but he devoured it!  See picture below.), Mazzio’s Pizza and Sam’s Club (pizza, of course).IMG_3325

Here’s a video of Cale just being Cale.  Man, I love this kid!
