Happy 1st Birthday, Cale!

Santa?!

Today, on this last day of the birthday month, Cale received a Build-A-Bear Workshop Santa hat and Santa beard.

Happy Birthday Month, Little Mister!  We have had so much fun celebrating you!  You are the most wonderful little boy, and we are so blessed and proud to have you in our lives!  We thank God for you everyday!  You are my dream come true!  I love you!!!

For his birthday, Cale received an unstuffed Build-A-Bear Workshop Kermit the Frog with a Kermit the Frog t-shirt.

As part of his birthday celebration, we went to Build-A-Bear, and Claire stuffed and bathed Kermit for Cale.

Today Cale got a new Veggie Tales video that has several movies on it.  We started watching it in the car on the way to church this morning.  It has at least three new movies that we don’t already own.  Just one repeat so far.  I can’t wait to see what else is on it!

Today was Cale’s last Sunday in his class at church.  His nametag printed with a birthday cake on it this morning.  Next week, he’ll move up to the next class.  I can’t believe my baby will be one this week!  What a fun week this is going to be!!

Mailbox Money

Cale received a gift from Grandpa and Grandma Osterholm in the mail this week.

Cale’s First Birthday Party

We had Cale’s first birthday party at our house on Sunday, November 18, 2012.  It was so much fun!

Those in attendance:  Daddy, Mommy, Claire, Cale, PopPop, MiMi, Uncle, Aunt Shannon, Analise, Allie, Nanny, Aunt Frances, Aunt Susie, Mr. Paul and Ms. Ann.

We had one of Cale’s favorite foods – burritos.  We also had chips with salsa, queso and guacamole.  For dessert we had chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, pecans, sprinkles and whipped cream.  Drink options: Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Diet Mountain Dew, iced tea, pink lemonade, coffee and water.  It was a great party!

Cale “driving” the Buzz Lightyear Wheelie that Claire gave him.  He was even making an engine noise.  He was so excited!

So excited and getting a lot of help from the girls – Uncle and Aunt Shannon gave Cale a bag of parts.

The parts were subsequently assembled into the Little People Wheelies Loops and Swoops Amusement Park.

Cale did not like the cake or the icing at all.  He found it very messy and even stepped on the cake a few times.

He didn’t like the way it tasted, but it made a great “hill” to drive his car on.
